If you’re a fan of video games, graphic novels,
and just good movies on general, then this movie is for you.
Meet Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera), a bass guitarist in a
small band called Sex Bob-omb and watch as he struggles through the basic problems
of modern day teenagers – having one of the most abnoxious (but quite awesome)
gay roommate, a gossipy sister, a Catholic school attending-Asian-hint of crazy-younger girlfriend, a super
famous ex-girlfriend. You know, just the average stuff.
But when you think things can’t get any worse, he meets the
most amazing girl. Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). Things quickly
escalate as Scott finds out that in order for him to date Ramona in peace is by
vanquishing her SEVEN EVIL EXES (dun dun dunn….).
From the thought-fridge of one of the most renowned
filmmakers, Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) comes the witty movie
that combines elements from the things most of us geeks love – cool retro game music, boss battles, and phrases that will have you quoting for weeks.
So, if you’re looking for a good movie to watch, I definitely
recommend checking this out.
